TO SERVE THE NEEDS OF STUDENTS, PROFESSIONS & THE COMMUNITY (2005)
The Goals and Objectives:
Goals:
- To improve the quality of training for students and professionals.
- To improve the quality of life of the African American communities we serve.
- To facilitate healthier lifestyle by promoting and coordinating mental and physical healing.
Objectives: consistent with the philosophy of The Association of Black Psychologists these objectives will assist in carrying out our mission
- To seek funding in order to create and provide clinical training opportunities for students, interns and professionals.
- To establish psychosocial programs within the African American, Latino and other underserved communities.
- To establish a multicultural parenting program (with linkages and contracts to the Department of Children and Family Services, DCFS).
- Develop a chapter directory.
- Develop and coordinate services for our young boys and young men who are fathers.
